Become an Affiliate Today

The Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, in San Antonio, Texas will be hosting the show from March 10th – 13th, 2010. During the show, DNA2Diamonds will be speaking with representatives from various corporations to introduce the DNA2Diamond Memorial Diamond Affiliate Program.

The International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association is the only international trade association representing all segments of the cemetery, funeral service, cremation and memorialization profession. Founded in 1887 as the Association of American Cemetery Superintendents, the organization was created by a group of 18 cemeterians whose goal was to improve the appearance and operations of their properties. Today, the ICCFA is composed of more than 7,400 cemeteries, funeral homes, crematories, memorial designers and related businesses worldwide.

“The ICCFA show provides DNA2Diamonds an opportunity to introduce memorial diamonds to ICCFA members and other show attendees. We would like attendees to know that we can provide cremation diamonds, cremation jewelry and memorial diamonds which we create from a lock of hair or a small amount of cremated remains. These unique memorials are lab grown diamonds from the personal carbon source of one or more family members (even the family pet), which makes them not only an exceptional way to memorialize someone, but it also means they are unlike any other diamond in the world,” said Tom Bischoff, President of DNA2Diamonds.

“This unique memorial is also unlike any other memorial offering previously available. Not many consumers are aware of this option and it can be a simple way to increase revenue for funeral home owners, cremation providers, or even pre-need. Our customers love our memorial diamonds, not only because they’re a tangible memorial, but because they forever contain the essence of their loved ones and encase the closeness of their memories.”

DNA2Diamonds creates genuine, GIA-certified diamonds that are made from the signature carbon turning ashes into diamonds from a lock of hair or cremated remains, in 70 days or less. DNA2Diamonds keepsake memorial diamonds can be created in various cuts and colors of stunning red, brilliant yellow-green, warm cognac and dazzling blue. These personal diamonds are available in sizes ranging from 0.25 carats to 2.0 carats and can be set into a ring, bracelet, and earrings or worn as a pendant. They are one-of-a-kind heirlooms to be treasured for generations to come.

To find out more about our Memorial Diamond Affiliate Program, or to purchase a signature carbon memorial diamond today, please visit our booth #238 at the ICCFA show, visit our website at http://www.dna2diamonds.com or call DNA2Diamonds direct at 888-335-3630.

Ashes to Diamonds: Would You Wear Your Dead Pet As Jewelry?

You can memorialize a dearly departed pet in several different ways, but few allow you to keep Mr. Fluffypants as

close to your heart as these wearable gems, which are created using the carbon captured from his remains. Not one but several companies are offering grieving pet owners the opportunity to immortalize their animal companions as jewelry. Despite the morbid undertones, it’s a trend that’s rapidly gaining popularity in Japan. But here’s the rub: The portable memorials might be better for the planet, too.

DNA2Diamonds is just one of the outlets touting its conflict-free, environmentally responsible personal diamonds.

The carbon extracted from a lock of hair or cremated ashes is subjected to the same process of extreme heat and pressure that squeezes carbon into naturally occurring diamonds. And because the rocks are made in a lab, instead of mined, they don’t carry the same baggage as “blood diamonds” do. Eternal rest set in stone does not come cheap, however—expect to pay upwards of $3,000 for the gem alone.

Carbon from your pet’s remains is subjected to extreme heat and pressure to create a diamond.

If you prefer your personal adornment to be less ostentatious, L-Born, a recently launched Japanese company in the Shiga prefecture, will mix pet ashes with local clay to produce lovely pottery bracelets, necklaces, picture frames, and even lamps. The founder was inspired by Namida Tsubo, a novel about a man who mixes his dead wife’s ashes with clay…and then makes a vase.

One of the most unique and truly personal types of memorial keepsakes are cremation diamonds. These laboratory grown diamonds can be created to honor a loved one or pet that has passed away.

Cremation diamonds are becoming an increasingly popular way of remembering loved ones who have passed away, whether they were human or animal. Whilst there are many forms of cremation jewelry, cremation diamonds are usually made from a lock of hair or a small sample of cremated ashes. Creating a diamond from hair or a diamond from the ashes of a loved one is a distinctive way to capture their essence and hold on to their love in a tangible diamond memorial.

Discover a DNA2Diamond Cremation Diamond Today

When the tragedy of losing a loved one strikes, dealing with the loss itself as well as the emotions makes for a difficult and grief stricken process that can leave you feeling vulnerable and alone and unsure of what steps to take next. Fortunately, there are many resources available to help cope with this type of loss. Deciding on a cremation diamond as a memorial can help ease some of the pain as well as help you honor and memorialize your loved one or pet who has passed away.

Turning ashes into cremation diamonds is not only a scientific process, it afford family members one of the most personal memorial opportunities available. Using the personal carbon source of a loved one, companies like DNA2Diamonds can create these laboratory grown diamond keepsakes in less than 70 days.

The technology to create laboratory grown diamonds has been around for about 70 years; over time it has been improved and refined. At DNA2Diamonds, the creation process begins by placing the signature carbon from loved ones in a capsule and adding a diamond seed in a laboratory. The seed is then exposed to the same process of extreme heat and pressure that happens deep below the earth’s crust. After the lab grown memorial diamonds are cut and polished in the same way as a earth grown diamonds, these precious gems can be mounted in almost any setting, creating a beautiful memory to be cherished for generations to come.

Personal cremation diamonds created by DNA2Diamonds are GIA-certified to be physically, chemically and optically identical to earth-mined diamonds. The creation process is also environmentally-friendly and conflict-free.

While gemologically equivalent to earth-mined diamonds, cremation diamonds such as those created by DNA2Diamonds are more beautiful, more meaningful and more precious – because they contain forever the essence of loved ones. They are truly the most personal diamonds in the world and the most unique keepsake memorials.

For more information about cremation diamonds or to have a DNA2Diamond created, please contact us at 888-335-3630.

Sarah Jane Ottilie passed away on November 5th, 2009.

It was a shock and loss to all who knew her. Sarah was young, vibrant and to say she will be missed does not adequately describe her impact.

To her colleagues, Sarah was a nurturer, an inspirer, an indefatigable pursuer and protector of excellence. To her friends and family, Sarah was unfailingly loyal, generous, thoughtful, and loving. But it was not only the lives of co-workers, friends and family that Sarah touched.

Sarah’s greatest joy in life was to help others. Her kindness and generosity extended to soldiers in Iraq, to whom she sent care packages; to the numerous stray animals she rescued; and to the many children she helped through charities, such as Project Morry, The Starlight Foundation, and others. Sarah lives on in these efforts.

Sarah’s mother chose to remember her with a DNA2Diamond. Here’s what she had to say about Sarah and “Sarah’s Diamond”:

“Truly, for me there was little choice in how to remember Sarah. She was a magically bright, shiny, beautifully singular creation. So is her diamond. Though she is with me in my heart, I will have this with me to spur the memories, and I will smile.

I would like to thank the team at DNA2Diamonds for making the creation of “Sarah’s Diamond” a comfortable, personal journey. Friendly, thoughtful professionals, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Anyone considering creating a “special diamond” for any occasion will be greatly pleased with the caring service and amazing gem the DNA2Diamonds Team provides!”

Our journey into the Rat Terrier world really began with Ariel...

“Ariel crossed over to Rainbow Bridge yesterday around noon.

Our journey into the Rat Terrier world really began with Ariel, my first foundation dog and wonderful ambassador to the breed. She went on to produce nice dogs that also produced nice dogs, hence adding to the foundation of our wonderful breed.

More important than that, she was our (my son Jim and I) best friend and a great ambassador for the numerous pet expos, play days, fun matches, and parades she attended and participated in.

She is the reason I became involved in assisting in attaining breed recognition. She is the reason I became involved with the RTCA (AKC – and later VP) ARTA (UKC – and Pres) plus the other Rat Terrier clubs and groups I belong to. She WAS the reason I worked so hard to get our breed the acceptance and recognition she so deserved.

Jim and I cried yesterday as we held her (as I am now while typing through my tears). My world was a better place with her in it. Gilda Radner said it best: “I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love. For me they are the role model for being alive.”

Gone but NEVER to be forgotten, meet you at Rainbow Bridge, my best friend!!

In Memory, gratitude, devotion and total LOVE.

Your honored owner,

Donna”

When asked why she chose to create a DNA2Diamond to remember Ariel, Donna had this to say:

“Ariel was more than a dog to me, she was a companion and family member. I was searching for a lasting tribute to honor my beloved Ariel. I wanted a unique way to commemorate and celebrate the love, fun and friendships I enjoyed as her owner. I wanted more than a picture or painting and decided upon a man made diamond.

There are several ways in which to secure the DNA needed. I chose to use Ariel’s fur and collected the required 1/2 cup for submission. After discussing what type of settings available, I chose earrings to be able to wear them anywhere with anything and always have her with me.

My family and friends think this is a great way to memorialize her. My son, James, has requested that he be the receiver of the earrings once I pass away, hence making this a special family heirloom to boot!

I have been sharing my story with friends who also are considering doing this as their own personal gift too.”

Tiger had always been my "prissy" dog - he didn't like to get his paws wet...

“Tiger had always been my “prissy” dog – he didn’t like to get his paws wet or go out in the rain. So much so that when he was a puppy, I would have to hold the umbrella over his head, just so he’d go out before I left for work. Yes, he was spoiled, but he was my baby and I loved him.He enjoyed playing with tennis balls, especially in the pool. Although he was a golden retriever, he actually was more of a golden keeper. You’d throw the ball, and only occasionally, when he felt like it, would he return it. Even then, it usually would have been stripped of the green material and covered in slobber.

Tiger would sleep on my feet at night and keep them warm – even on 90-degree summer nights! If I sat on the couch to read or watch television, he would snuggle up right next to me and put his head on my lap and soon be fast asleep. On trips to North Carolina to our cabin, he’d run through the woods and go on long walks with me. No matter what I did, Tiger was always there right by my side.

He earned the nickname “Lumpy” sometime over the years because of all the growths he developed. Tests always revealed they were fatty tumors and were nothing to worry about. The vet had assured me that unless they grew large enough to hamper his movement – or his internal organs – he was fine. Little did I know back then that one day, they would do just that.

When I took Tiger in to the vet with a new larger growth, he was moving around only when necessary and I knew something was really wrong. I just didn’t want to know. His prognosis was not good. The tumors were pushing his throat closed, his stomach shut and his arthritis had worsened. The vet had offered some suggestions on making him more comfortable and things we could do for him so that we could take him home. I knew deep down that the vet was saying, “Tiger’s suffering.” I also knew I owed it to Tiger to help him. So, that afternoon I sat on the floor of the vets office with Tiger’s head in my lap. As the vet injected him, Ti looked up at me one last time with those big brown eyes as if to say, “it’s ok” and then he was gone.

I had Ti cremated and his ashes have been right next to me since then, just as he was in life. But now, after hearing about DNA2Diamonds, I want Tiger to become something more than just a paw-printed metal container on a shelf in my house. I want to see the twinkle of his brown eyes again in a diamond that is part of him. I want him to go on walks with me again and be praised on his beauty, only this time as a pendant on a chain, instead of a dog, on a leash. Thank you for putting the sparkle back into Tiger’s memory for me.”

Red Earth Mined Diamonds
As one of the rarest and arguably the most elusive color of fancy color diamonds, the red stones are highly sought after as there are only about 20 known earth-mined red diamonds in the world.

Historically, red diamonds have been sold for record breaking prices. In 1987, the fancy purplish red 0.95 carat Hancock Red Diamond set a new world record per carat price. The Hancock Red fetched $926,000 per carat – more than seven times the previous record price of $127,000 per carat. This record was broken only in 2007, when a 6.04 carat flawless fancy blue diamond was sold at a Sotheby’s auction for a staggering $1.3 million per carat.

Loose diamonds, in general, are considered to be a wise investment as they constantly appreciate in value. Due to their rarity, natural fancy color diamonds – more so than white diamonds – offer their owners a unique source of value.

Red Lab Grown Diamonds

Discover a way to hold love - FOREVER

Red fancy colored DNA2Diamonds are priceless. They are the most personal, one-of-a-kind diamond heirloom ever to be created. These special red diamonds are created from the signature carbon in a lock of hair or cremated ashes. DNA2Diamonds are physically, chemically and optically identical to earth-mined diamonds and certified by the Gemological Institute of America.

DNA2Diamonds red fancy color lab grown diamonds are a wonderful way to honor the most important people, pets and events of your life. They forever contain the essence of a loved one, the memories of a life and the dreams of the future. Additionally, DNA2Diamonds red laboratory grown diamonds are more affordable than the record breaking, pricey earth-mined red diamonds!

Let’s compare!

How much is a red, one carat, one-of-a-kind, personal DNA2Diamond?
Just $10,550 for one carat.

And, how much was the Hancock Red diamond?
$926,000 per carat!?

Bottom line: You can own the most expensive red diamond or the most personal one…

DNA2Diamonds…hold onto your memories and capture their essence…

“DNA2Diamonds are created from a lock of hair of one or more family members (even the family pet), which makes them not only personal but unlike any other diamond,” said Tom Bischoff, President of DNA2Diamonds. “These diamonds contain the essence of a loved one and forever encase the closeness of your memories. Why not tell her you love her this Valentines Day with the most unique diamond gift surprise that’s so personal it can never be duplicated.”

“Through February 14th, 2010, our customers can receive their own half carat, GIA-certified, heart-shaped, red diamond in an 18 carat white or yellow gold setting at a price not to be repeated. Because we create our signature diamonds utilizing the personal carbon of a loved one, not only will this be a one-of-a-kind gift but also an heirloom to enjoy for generations to come,” said Bischoff.

DNA2Diamonds creates genuine, GIA-certified diamonds that are made from the signature carbon taken from a lock of hair or cremated remains. DNA2Diamonds can be created in various cuts and colors of stunning red, brilliant yellow-green, warm cognac and dazzling blue.
